Meet
Tina, our new little girl -- a black Labrador. Tina is a
young dog and on the smaller side. She came to us underweight
and we are working on putting a few extra pounds on her already
petite frame. Even at an ideal weight, Tina will be a small
girl -- maybe 40 lbs give or take.
Tina has many of the desirable Lab traits. She is happy 24/7
and she always has a huge smile on her cute face. She's fun,
playful and silly too! She knows a few basic commands like
"sit and down", and she will even "stay" for a
bit. One of the cutest things she does is to sit and then
immediately roll over on to her back for a belly rub. Belly
rubs, face and neck rubs will get you "in like Flint" with
this girl!
Tina should be placed with either a childless family, or a family
with teenagers. We also feel that Tina would be best suited in
a family where she can be the only dog. She's the kind of girl
that wants all the attention to herself. And she's spunky
enough to keep a family busy with just her anyway! At this
time we are unsure how Tina would respond to cats.
The thing that is most striking about Tina (other than that
wonderful smile) is how much she wants to please her human. She
will lock on to your eyes during training and try so hard to do what
you want her to do. She's happy when working on obedience
skills, but then the silly side in her sometimes kicks in and off
she gallops, or she'll roll over on her back as if she's saying,
"Let's move on to belly rubs!"
