Rusty-adopted!

This is Rusty, a small adult male Golden Retriever mix.  Rusty only weighs about 40 pounds, so he's much smaller than a standard Golden, but has the look, temperament, and style of a Golden Retriever.

Rusty has a reddish-gold coat which is just so soft and silky.  Rusty is currently undergoing treatment that resulted from his previous owners not taking care to prevent fleas on this beautiful boy.  He no longer has fleas, but has a few patches of fur that are growing back after he had a severe allergic reaction to his previous flea infestation.  This isn't a big problem at all...he has a special bath that he has to take regularly for the next few weeks to ensure that his allergies are cleared up, and the fur is already growing back in the affected areas.  His new Forever Family will just need to take care to use a flea treatment regular to prevent him from suffering like that again.

Rusty does well with other dogs.  We do not know how he would be with cats.  He is now ready to find a Forever Family that will care for him superbly for the rest of his days!

Adopted, May 2003.
