Hi. I am "Rocky" a nine month male Golden Retriever.   I came to All Retriever Friends as a sick dog from an animal shelter.  I was in the shelter and truly as beautiful and nice looking as a Golden Retriever ...I was overlooked by public adoption because I was sick.  Then a volunteer from All Retriever Friends came by and saw me.  She was waiting to see if anyone else adopted me, but no one took the risk to take me into their home.  Well, All Retriever Friends took the chance on me and got me the medical care that I needed to thrive and survive.  Unfortunately, it cost them plenty of money ($2500.00)  to save me !   I had a gastroenteritis and many tests with treatment to help me overcome my symptoms of nausea, diarrhea and lack of appetite, that kept me in the hospital for over two weeks.  Because I am so young my underdeveloped immune system cause me to develop multiple abcesses on my body that I could not overcome due to the complex treatment that I was receiving during my extended medical stay.  I hope you understand that because they saved me that many other dogs may not get the chance at LIFE I have and  that they deserve because of the cost that it took to save me.
