Patriot
Patriot had surgery on his left hip on Thursday, Jan 4, 2002. The surgery went well but was very long. He is recovering well. The surgery for the right hip will be scheduled soon.
We will be taking out a loan for the surgery and are hoping to raise enough money through donations to repay the loan. We could not wait longer for his surgery since every month was detrimental to his prognosis and recovery. If we had waited, his physical limitations, growth development and recovery were at risk. We also felt that if we waited any longer the surgery would be more expensive and we would be risking a longer recovery period, because it becomes more difficult.
Update - Jan 15, 2002: Patriot had his second surgery on January 12. Now he will have 10 - 14 days of rest and antibiotics
Update - Feb 4, 2002: Patriot is up and walking...He is going through physical therapy exercises and gaining strength daily. We still need your sponsorship in helping with his medical expenses ....we only have enough to cover 1/3 of his medical costs to date. Please help with a donation !
