She was bought from a pet shop
without permission from mom and dad so that did not work out too
well for Lilly. Luckily for her, a family friend took her in so she
would not end up at the animal shelter. As much as the new family
wanted to keep her, they were already at the local, legal limit for
pets and could not keep her. That is where ARF and hopefully, you
come into the picture.
She is 11 months old and is
spayed, up to date on her shots and ready to begin life with her
forever family. She is crate trained and we are told she is house
broken too and knows sit (sort of). She has all the enthusiasm you'd
expect to see in a girl of her age. She has a lot of puppy in her
and will need a lot of training and love and exercise.
Lilly has the wonderful lab
temperament that so many of us find irresistible. She starts to melt
your heart with her warm eyes and soft snuggles. Then she wants to
play! This girl loves fetch and with the jump she has in her legs
she just might give the frisbee champs something to look at. What a
sweet heart. Can you let her into your heart?
UPDATE: Lilly has behaviorally
passed and evaluation by the National Disaster Search Dog Foundation
and is being considered for entrance into training as a search dog,
pending a medical evaluation.
Lilly passed her medical exam, but
was put through more retrieving abilities. It was decided that she
did not have the extreme drive that they were looking for. It was a
difficult decision among several of their trainers, but it was
decided to return her back to ARF. Lilly got adopted immediately on
her return to ARF.
