Meet Happy, a young female Labrador Retriever. Happy, an
approximately 80 lb girl is in excellent health, even accompanying her current human Mom on jogging trails in
the hills. Sadly, Happy's current family is faced with having to re-home her.
Happy has had superb care and training. We will all want to see Happy go into a
home, where there is interest in continuing on with what she has learned. Happy
responds very well to clicker training, willingly "crates up" at nighttime, and
knows all of her basic obedience. Keep in mind that she's still a young girl --
and with going into a new home she will need a refresher. She does have a slight
tendency to chew things left of the floor but with proper chew toys and time, this
will diminish.
Happy does present uncertain at first, needing time to warm up to people. For
this reason we feel its best she's placed in a home without children. We know
Happy lived with a cat and over time did okay. Keep in mind -- new cat, new
reactions. Happy was also an inside dog and housebroken in her prior home.
Happy's best situation would be in a predictable, quiet home with active,
experienced and patient humans. Happy thrives in routine settings where she is
with people that understand her tentativeness. She is a beautiful girl inside and
out that needs a soft touch.
Adopted July 2006!
