Elle-adopted!

Hi, it's me Elle, the 2-1/2 y/o female chocolate Lab. The folks here at ARF tell me I deserve a new profile because I've been with them for several days now and they are really starting to get to know what kind of girl I am.

The volunteer that comes to exercise me has seen growth each time. She has also observed how I am now understanding how to bond, and play with people. At first I kind of bumbled around (lack of exercise) but now I'm becoming a retriever! Yep, I have been introduced to the world of tennis balls and fetch and I'm lovin' it. Also when I see the volunteer approach me where I am staying I get excited and wag my tail. I am learning how to bond with people, get pets, how to be handled and stroked, and it feels wonderful.

I will still need a bit of training but I'm not nearly as mouthy as I was early on. I also don't jump on people all that much. Just a bit of finesse from a past Labrador owner is all it will take along with exposure to walking on leash since I still want to grab it in my mouth.

It would probably be in my best interest to be the only dog so my human family can concentrate on just me so I can continue to grow and blossom into the fine lady that I know I can be. And still a home where the kids are at least 8 y/o and up as well.

Adopted April 2006
