Clifford-adopted!

Hello, I am Clifford. I am thrilled to be in the midst of this big adventure of finding a new forever home. I'll be even happier when I am settled and cozy with my forever people.
Let me tell you all I can about myself so we can feel better acquainted.     How I came to be lost is anyone's guess.  I am an adult Golden Retriever with a beautiful coat the has a lovely red tint to it. That's where my name comes from, just like the dog in the books. The big red one.
Though I am an optimistic and friendly guy, I am out of my puppy years and have the maturity level that many of you folks like.  In the Shelter I was always wet. Who says a water dish is only for drinking out of?  I can still enjoy life's little pleasures.
We have not talked about getting along with cats or other creatures, but I have been pleased to make the acquaintance of all types and sizes of people. I really enjoyed the attention and the backscratches. I am ready to begin my happily ever after
