Champ-adopted!

One of our volunteers saw this beautiful young boy being taken to the shelter by his owner.  He was being given up to the shelter because the owner was not able to keep him in his apartment.   Fortunately, our volunteer intervened and was able to get Champ before he spent any time at the South Central Animal Shelter.

Champ is a pup..aged to be about 9 months old.  He is large and probably full grown in height but will fill out as he grows to be an adult dog.  Currently, Champ weighs about 60 lbs.  He will probably gain another 5 lbs or so.  He is social and playful with other dogs and as a pup could benefit by obedience and leash training.  Champ would need quality time for interaction, and exercise and fun with his adoptive family.  He has the typical Lab pup temperament that wants to play and have a good time.  With the commitment to provide the love and training for Champ he will grow into a wonderful adult dog and be your loyal family companion.

Adopted April 2005
